I remember Wilamena, Mush & Lucy. Didn’t your goat eat the washing on the line once!? Have fond memories of walks with Mush. I’m sure I’ve been on long walks with you & Sue up Moel Famau and maybe Malham Cove? Mush would always run up & down many times.
ReplyDeleteAlso remember going fishing in the river at the bottom of the field behind your Nilgiris cottage?
Great photo of Dad. Looks like you’ve got your scanner working really well... look forward to more photos!
You have a good memory Dave..do you remember think I took you to Hoylake to fish when you were about 10?..don,t think you caught anything...Wilamena ate allsorts..I remember in August I came home to check my greenhouse tomatoes...all gone she had got in!..you and Mush were running up steep hills in Malham...early signs of your climbing future,...I don,t like heights!
ReplyDeleteI do remember that fishing trip Rob, I'm sure I used a old reel of Dad's that I'd spray painted blue.... but think I was older than 10 if using spray paint.....!? It was in the marine lake wasn't it?
DeleteGosh I remember Wilamena and Mush. Wilamena wouldn't let Sue or anyone hang out the washing?, and Mush had endless energy and a beautiful coat. How long did he live?
ReplyDeleteMum told me stories about Kim, how he ran away a lot, and ripped then ate the landing curtains! I've always thought he was a Labrador too, but I can see now that he wasn't!!
Yes Anne Wilamena was wild...Mush lived till 19!..but for the last 2 years he was in a terrible way and we should have had him put to sleep..sounds bad but he became an immobile animal in the end....Rob
